6.1.4.1. Crop Year
A crop year is the time period from the beginning of one year’s harvest until the beginning of the next. Usually it coincides with the 12-month period known as a marketing year, and the terms are often used interchangeably. However, a crop sometimes may have more than one harvest (and more than one crop year) in any given marketing year. A crop year that begins in 2021 and ends in 2022 is designated the 2022 crop year.
