Alternative Methodology
A simpler method of calculating options haircuts is available for firms with limited options business, where using an options pricing model would not be cost-effective. This method is also used for determining haircuts on over-the-counter options. This calculation is applied to each option position by option category, a few of which are listed in the following sections.
